About the Summit

One day, one region, one conversation about endometriosis

Endometriosis does not recognize national borders.

Many of the problems people face when seeking healthcare are shared across countries: years of unexplained pain, symptoms dismissed as “normal”, fragmented treatment, difficult fertility decisions, and limited access to specialists who truly understand these complex conditions.

On 3 October 2026, doctors, healthcare professionals and patient organizations from the Balkans will meet online for a full day dedicated to endometriosis and adenomyosis — from first symptoms to diagnosis, fertility, surgery, recovery and long-term care. Rather than looking at endometriosis through a single specialty, the program follows the questions patients actually face along the way:

These questions will be addressed by specialists from Bulgaria, Turkey, Romania, Greece, Croatia and Serbia, working in gynecology, reproductive medicine, radiology, minimally invasive and colorectal surgery, anaesthesiology, neuropelveology, pelvic floor physiotherapy and dietetics. The final part of the day turns to a question that remains especially important in our region: how to build real multidisciplinary care for women with endometriosis, so patients no longer have to coordinate every specialist, exam and treatment decision themselves.

Participation is free, because reliable information about endometriosis and adenomyosis should not depend on where someone lives or whether they can afford a conference ticket. The meeting will be held online, in English.

Organized on the Balkans. The Balkan Endometriosis & Adenomyosis Summit 2026 is a joint initiative of patient organizations across the region: Foundation “Endometriosis & Reproductive Health” (Bulgaria), “Ja sam 1 od 10” (Croatia), “Asociația Eu și Endometrioza” and “Asociația Suport în Endometrioză” (Romania), “Endolu Kadın Platformu” (Turkey) and “EndoGreece” (Greece).
