Prof. Elvira Brătilă is Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, where she serves as Director of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and heads the Obstetrics-Gynaecology discipline at Prof. Dr. Panait Sârbu Clinical Hospital. Her clinical work spans complex endometriosis, minimally invasive and robotic gynaecological surgery, urogynaecology, fertility and reproductive medicine.
She is the founder and coordinator of EndoMedicare Academy, a multidisciplinary centre dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis. The model brings together gynaecological surgeons, colorectal and urological surgeons, imaging specialists, fertility specialists, anaesthesiologists and other professionals around a single patient pathway. Prof. Brătilă has been a leading advocate in Romania for treating complex endometriosis as a disease that often requires coordinated expertise rather than isolated interventions by individual specialties.
She was among the pioneers of robotic gynaecological surgery in Romania and has introduced advanced minimally invasive approaches into the treatment of endometriosis and other complex gynaecological conditions. Her academic and research work includes endometriosis, robotic and minimally invasive surgery, assisted reproduction and pelvic-floor disorders. She is also President of the Romanian Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and President of the East-European Society of Endometriosis and Infertility.
At the Summit, Prof. Brătilă will speak on “When Endometriosis Becomes Complex: Why Patients Need a Multidisciplinary Team.”
